About the Company

Independent Scales is a specialist weighing and inspection systems service provider established in 1990. The company's concentrated its focus on the food processing industry. Independent Scales was born from the opportunity brought about by a change in Government legislation that introduced accreditation requirements for the calibration and servicing of weighing and measuring equipment.

Quality Management System

Before the company structure was developed a quality management system was implemented to ensure that regardless of the company's future its foundations would be securely rooted in professional, quality ethics. This quality management system is modelled on ISO 9001:2000 and has produced visible success as demonstrated by the company's significant growth over the past 14 years and the recognition of being leaders in developing these types of technologies.

The Future

The future consists of the continuing development of key relationships in strategic areas. Building on stand-alone sales the company has moved to complete, data- linked products and dynamic and vision technologies, x-ray and standard metal detection contaminate inspection. Developing strengths in the use of these technologies, with our customers, is the ongoing strategy used to maintain the growth.
